My Students
“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” Dr. Seuss. We talk about how it’s very easy to fit in, do what everyone else is doing. Standing out can come in many forms. You can give a standout performance or you can simply hold ideas and beliefs that are uncommon. This is what I tell my students and the teachers I coach.
The school in which I work has many families who are below the poverty level, many students are in shelters and 100% qualify for free/reduced lunch.
My Project
I am requesting professional development books that will support me in using data to improve my instruction and student learning. I will also be able to share my knowledge with the teachers in my able. Through this professional development, I will learn how to organize my students into differentiated groups, how to use assessments and guided reading appropriately to reach every child.
Great teachers never stop learning.
As I learn from these materials and am able to share the books and resources with other teachers I hope to reach ALL the students in our building and collaboratively contribute to their success as learners and resilient and productive citizens.
