My Students

In my classroom, I try to make learning fun and engaging. I use different types of learning styles such as hands-on learning to help my students learn challenging math concepts. My students are challenged in my classroom that helps to improve problem-solving skills and higher level thinking that is necessary for real-world applications after high school. Students are encouraged to learn from their mistakes and to advocate for themselves to not only be better students, but better individuals. My students look forward to the activities that we do in class.

My Project

Attending this professional development course will provide me with the tools to build as an educator. Learning about how data can drive meaningful instruction that aligns with Common Core State Standards is critical in increasing student achievement and school improvement. Through this extensive training course, I will be able to provide practical training to my school faculty and staff, and eventually the charter school system of whom I am employed with. In addition, I will be able to help create learning experiences for students that are aligned to the Common Core State Standards. It is an honor to be selected to attend this training.
