My Students

Every time the students come into the lab they are expected to work on their typing skills then on their coding skills. By the end of the year, I would love for my students to be able to create codes of their own. Students in my classes face the challenge of not seeing what coding really does.

My students have many different ability ranges, economic situations, and language barriers.

We have a very high free and reduced price lunch population. We have over 100 students who speak a language other than English. In the lab all students are excited to code and experiment with new things.

My Project

This year we are starting a new STEM lab. The students started coding last year on the computer and I would love for them to see what the coding on the computer actually does. We have several iPads in the building and the students love how they can use these to help with their research. We need a Wonder Workshop Dash & Dot Robot Wonder Pack. I want the students to be able to code the robots to learn more about technology.

These students are not used to having anything in the lab but computers.

I want them to see that technology isn't just computers and iPads. I want the girls to learn that when they get older they can be in a science field.
