My Students

These students are first grade students located on Air Force base housing with a 100% military population. These students come from all over, and sometimes this is their 2nd or 3rd school in just the few years they've been in school. I want to provide a fun atmosphere for my students that makes them feel welcome and comfortable.

All students should feel safe and welcome in a classroom.

With the students that our school serves, I want to make sure I do just that.

My Project

My students need the Wonder Workshop Dash and Dot robots to be introduced to the world of computer programming and coding. My first graders need to be exposed to fields that are expanding as possible careers for them - like coding and computer programming. The Wonder Workshop kit will combine problem solving skills with computer coding basics as the students “teach” the robots how to move and react in engaging and rigorous ways. This small spark of an opportunity will ignite worlds of possibilities for their futures as well as encourage them to have perseverance with problem-solving situations.

It is my responsibility as their teacher to teach my students in all aspects and prepare them for the future.
