I am a first-grade teacher at a public school. My students are excited about learning and want to excel in school. I have a large range of learning abilities in my classroom. They come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs. Some have Autism, ADD, or ADHD, but all of the children have the same desire to learn.
My students are sweet and they are excited and ready to learn, explore, and to take on the world.
They are excited from the time they get off the bus to when they leave at night. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are a Title I school.
My Project
In order for my students to excel in their future, they must be able to fill technology jobs. They must be introduced and taught this new technology. They need to engage with educational tools. Dash is a real robot which introduces students to advanced concepts of coding through learning projects and puzzles. Dash Robot coding will help students accomplish this goal.
My students will engage in problem-solving skills and experience coding and programming skills engaging with the Dash robot in math and reading experiences.
My first-grade students will expand their previous building and programming knowledge gained with working in our computer lab. Students will code Dash to drive through mazes and to cards. They can use Dash in retelling a story and working out math problems.
