My students have incredibly creative minds! They find such joy in learning, especially when they are having fun! They have the ability to find wonder in most things we learn and I strive to create life-long learners. I love watching my students become absorbed in the many topics we learn about, and I'm even more excited when they find joy in their learning.
My third graders love learning and I want to continue to foster that desire for learning with unique, fun, and engaging experiences!

My Project
We currently have 10 Dash robots from previous classroom grants I have written over the past 4 years. I am striving to build our collection to 25 Dash robots so my students will have 1:1 devices. I worked to get 1:1 tablets in my last Donors Choose projects. I am now on to the next phase and hope to add to our Dash resources.
My students absolutely LOVE coding our Dash robots and 1:1 devices would allow them to have more coding experience and increased digital citizenship confidence!
We use a program called Blockly on our tablets to code Dash to move, talk, light up with colors, and follow a series of coded demands. Their coding knowledge and digital skills will continue to grow with each experience they have with our Dash robots. It's exciting to witness! Thank you for your consideration of our project!
