Mr. Elliott from Columbus GA is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need the Dot robot kits and xylophone to go along with the Dash robots that are already available for use at D M Academy.

I am a technology teacher at D M Academy. We are working towards becoming a STEM certified school through the state of Georgia. As part of STEM, we have slowly begun to introduce our students to coding. It has been amazing to see the looks of joy when students begin to grasp coding.
The students at my school are in grades Kindergarten through 5th.
They are about 90-95% African American. They love to spend time with technology and have learned quite a bit this year. I have introduced all students that come through my doors to coding and programming. I can't even begin to explain the excitement of the students when they begin to understand coding. This is a difficult concept for even me! But students at my school persevere and work hard to problem solve coding activities.
Our school was fortunate enough to receive two Dash robots through a Technology grant. Now we would like to complete both Dash robots with a counterpart Dot robot to complete the set. The Dot robots and Xylophone accessory would allow students more adventures in coding by adding extra challenges and problem solving activities to what Dash provides alone.
The Dot robot and Xylophone accessory will offer students more challenging activities in regards to coding.
Students are already expected to do some problem solving through coding, but will be more challenged when adding in the Dot robot and Xylophone accessory. Students will gain more patience while also gaining a greater respect for the difficulties of coding.
