My Students

The STEM Center is an after school learning program. Students from grades 6-8 will work on projects, for example, Dash and Cue robots for 6-8 weeks. During this time students will be involved with team work, reading and following directions, problem solving and exploration.

My students are engaged in learning!

Technology is a key way that my students interact with the world around them!

So what better way to understand technology than to explore building and programming. By participating in the after school STEM Center my students will continue to be engaged in their learning.

My Project

When my students receive the Cue and Dash robots they will learn to program the robots to complete simple commands. They will experience real life problems that involve problem solving and perseverance. My students will learn how to work with others to solve problems.

Through your contributions, you will help to engage my students in hands-on learning that will enhance their math and science skills by learning how to code, first with block style coding and then with text based coding.

This will improve my classroom by incorporating problem based learning and engaging my students in learning skills that will be needed for the 21st century.
