This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching some of the most inquisitive and creative students! They thrive on learning new skills and applying that knowledge. They are always excited to learn about new technology and it is very rewarding to see the look of excitement on their faces as they discover new things. We are blessed to have a computer lab that the students visit each week. They absolutely love to learn on coding websites and they are ready to take their programming skills to the next level.

My Project

Technology is at the center of daily life and students must be immersed in new technologies in order to become productive 21st Century citizens. STEM education is at the forefront of helping prepare students for lifelong careers and, as a school that does not receive Title-I funding, it is difficult to add new technology for student use. With the addition of Dash robots my students will be able to increase the programming knowledge by collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. My students love to code on various coding websites, and the Dash robots will help them put their block programming skills into action! Thank you for your help!
