The coronavirus has shut the doors to our school building, but the learning continues. Our school has given devices out to students so that we can continue to educate them while adhering to the stay at home orders. The additional Dash robots would be distributed to the students while they are learning at home.
My students were enjoying the coding before the buildings were closed, having Dash robots at home with them would allow for the fun learning to continue.
With the use of the devices that the students already have in hands, these Dash robots will allow the students to continue to their coding education. The older students were working collaboratively with younger students with programming the Dash robots. The new 6 Dash robots will travel to homes that have multiple siblings so that the collaborative learning can continue.
Working with siblings on coding problems will serve multiple purposes.
The students will continue to collaborate and work as a team. This will encourage partnerships and sharing ideas across different ages within the family. This activity will bring the family together to solve problems and increase quality family time.
