I am thrilled to teach a diverse group of students who have had different educational experiences and bring a variety of knowledge on a daily basis. My classrooms are comprised of students who have I.E.P.s and receive special education services. I also teach students who receive Gifted services. I love that I teach a diverse group of students.
Dare to differentiate!
Why not? That is what my students deserve. Considering the range of learning styles, readiness levels, interests, and educational needs, I know that it is important that I provide my students with learning experiences that will impact their growth on a daily basis. Differentiating for students will provide opportunities for them to learn and acquire the skills that they need to make progress throughout the year.
I am requesting professional materials to help me to continue to grow as a teacher and provide the necessary learning experiences for my students. They are deserving of opportunities to learn based on their needs. The professional books that I am requesting will allow me to learn about different ways that I can engage my students in those differentiated learning experiences. Because I teach such a varied group, I want to learn how to engage all levels of learners in my classroom.
I am excited about the possibility of learning other ways that I can engage and differentiate for multiple groups of students.
My students deserve the best and need to learn in ways that will best serve them as individuals. The professional books that I am requesting in this project will support me as I provide those experiences for my students.
