My students need ballroom dance shoes to be able to effectively enhance their training! With them, our students could improve their strength and skills with the proper equipment on their feet.
Our students in Palmetto, Florida are a prime example of students benefitting from arts integrated instruction. Our school is based off the multiple intelligence principle and students who learn in a unique manner are embraced and celebrated.
We have over 1,000 students who take dance as an elective as a part of their regular schedule and approximately 600 of them are enrolled in a ballroom dance class.
Our students who are musical or bodily/kinesthetic learners greatly benefit from taking a dance class. Additionally, they reap the benefits of being active, creative, and able to express themselves.
Our students are enthusiastic, eager-to-learn, and extremely talented. Many students study ballroom dance after school to learn choreography and further their technical training. They can be seen performing at countless community events out of the goodness of their hearts, to share their passion for dance!
My Project
Our ballroom dance students are in desperate need of ballroom shoes to enhance their training. Currently, we have 600 dancers enrolled in ballroom dance classes, and about 48 dancers on a competitive ballroom dance team. These students are responsible for providing their own costume items, which can be really taxing on them financially.
Having these dance shoes would have such a positive impact on the dancers who cannot afford their own shoes.
These Latin dance shoes have comfortable soles and support the arch of the foot and alignment of the ankle, making an ideal and safe shoe for students to learn and perform in. They would be worn in school performances, community performances, and competitions. Shoes would be kept in the classroom, and would be rotated through the dancers who do not have their own shoes, year after year.
