Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic and smart; they are willing to try new ideas. They love the arts and luckily our school is opened to providing an avenue where students can learn academics and express themselves on stage. However, we are in need of costumes and materials needed for performances.
Our students are so excited to be given the opportunity to express themselves in such positive ways; like singing, dancinging, acting or playing an instrument.
We bring our community together when they perform for their families and friends. They bring joy and happiness to those around them.
My Project
These costumes needed for our yearly show add quality to our annual production. Every year, the shows are not only a community go getter, but help build character and inspire literacy.
Children learn and dance all in one!
We hope to enrich our academic programs by including the arts. The population in our school is 40% English language learners and the arts help build their language and their ability to learn a new culture.
Imagine your child telling a story by expressing the emotions of the characters, connecting with the characters relaying the message of the story by their chosen creative movements. They choose to dance to express!!
