I teach beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of dance to high school students. Our classroom has been dramatically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. My students lost the opportunity to perform their spring dance show, and we are now working from home. Instead of fulfilling our goal of showcasing our group work, we are now working entirely independently. All projects are now individual-based.
As of now, I am offering daily stretching and strengthening classes with the goal in mind that we can continue to build a sense of community and also continue to stay emotionally and physically fit.
Your support for my students and me would be greatly appreciated. My students, especially my seniors, are devastated by this pandemic and I would like to find ways to support their learning and help them finish their high school experience in a strong, positive way.
My Project
I need a mirror to teach my dance class. I currently have zoom set up for meeting with my students, but I need to be able to face away from them but still have them able to see my front side. We still need to forage forward with learning choreography together despite our distance. Having a mirror would make communication so much easier between my students and me. I know that they are working through anxiety of learning new dance material in this new platform we have to use. I would like to be able to make this a bit easier for them.
A mirror would really make a difference in my delivery of dance curriculum.
