This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have been teaching music to my 5th grade students since PK.

They are talented, inquisitive and energetic.

This year we are fortunate enough to be putting on our first musical theater production. The class could not be more excited!

Every day my students come to school is an opportunity for them. Their lives are complex. Social, emotional and economic factors are only part of what they must contend with.

This is part three of our fundraising for our Disney Musicals In The Schools staging of The Jungle Book Kids. Secure storage for our hand made costumes fit for future productions.

This production is dedicated to their beloved 4th and 5th grade teacher who died tragically in November.

My Project

Our school is in process of transitioning from a PK-8 to a elementary school. With the younger population. especially early childhood, it is important to be able to give consistency. By pushing in with dance education, the students have both the joy of movement and the structure of their familiar setting.

Their new skills will then transfer to the more formal setting of the dance room.

This Bose speaker will give these early experiences the powerful support of a full range of sound reproduction.

This capacity will help make the program flexible as to location offering students a full range of possibilities for learning and expressing their inner groove.
