Students I work with are dedicated, inspiring, and caring individuals. They work with other students in their classes in a way so that everyone gets to participate in all events. They are leaders, being role models for the younger kids. They enjoy giving back to the community and fundraising as a whole vs just the organization they are in. Lastly, they respect one another so that every idea, thought, or opinion is fully discussed until a collaborative decision is made and a plan is in place to take action.
My Project
Students will be able to learn how to DJ for other kids at the same grade level. With the speakers we are requesting, we will no longer need to contract a DJ in town and pay the fee for their service. Students will be the ones generating the playlist and running the show. It would be completely student led.
In addition to the speakers, the lights requested will create an atmosphere most kids want when they are having a school dance.
Students decorate the gym in many ways, but having fun and colorful lighting really seals the deal of a great dance.
