My students are amazing. Each day I am humbled by their words, their deeds and their true desire to learn more about the world around them.
I am especially touched by their tender hearts.
Each day you can hear students cheering for each other or asking if their neighbors need help with an assignment. They are all good sports and are patient with their classmates who may not be as proficient in a certain activity as they are.
I know this sounds like a fairy tale, but it's not. I do not teach in a private, elitist school where students are hand-picked. I teach in a public, Title I school where children from all backgrounds are free to attend, regardless of their abilities or lack thereof. It is an honor to come to school each day and be a part of their lives.
While I know my mathematical instruction is solid, I also know that students need regular practice and review in order to keep their newly-acquired learning fresh and present in their minds.
Using ETAs Daily Math Fluency will develop my students' foundational math skills, skyrocket their confidence in math and set the stage for future success.
This is a daily mathematical fluency program that pushes students to use what they already know about math and apply it to deeper concepts and relationships. It's no longer enough to just know the basics -- 20th Century Learning demands that students think deeper and collaborate with others in order to come to a more complete understanding of mathematical concepts.
ETA Daily Math Fluency will give my students the opportunity to deepen their discussions around mathematical concepts and ideas.
