I have 28 wonderful kindergarten students who are absolutely in love with learning. At this time, I do not have the necessary materials to ensure optimum learning within my kindergarten classroom. This particular proposal is for probability and graphing materials for numerous hands on experiences throughout the year. The materials needed are a Block Graph Kit, Graphing Board, Set of Block Cubes, Reversible Graphing Mat, Graphing Pocket Chart, graphing book, spinners, and dice. Here how it works with the above materials. Students will be able to sort, collect, organize and analyze data using hands on manipulatives. This would enable me to build a solid foundation for these difficult concepts. How? Through varied instructional practices and move from the concrete to the abstract. Probability will help student learn critical thinking skills. Visual representations of graphing data will help students to better understand probability.
