Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a diverse group of amazing 4th graders who like any 9/10 year old's need constant movement and strategies to be engaged. My particular group this year has faced many personal challenges and they tell me daily that our class is their "safe place".

In order to make sure my students are engaged and are active participants in their learning we use some supplies frequently and run out of them often.

I model and use the anchor charts as well as the smelly markers for their collaborative learning, sticky notes get them engaged and excited to complete their quick checks. White boards and white board markers we use for all subjects when working problems out or for checking for understanding. Pencils we use for writing as well as our journals. Head phones are beneficial when completing independent computer work. As for the fidget tools they help my 4th grade students be successful with their learning by allowing them to get the sensory information they need.
