Twenty-three amazing kindergarteners are what I have to work with this school year! Each day all of my students amaze me with their dedication to become successful readers and determination to learn difficult math concepts. This group of kids is definitely a "team" with everything we do in our classroom. Each day a new student steps up to help out a fellow classmate who needs a little extra encouragement. They genuinely want everyone to be successful, and the excitement that they display when their classmates succeed is truly special!
My Project
These supplies would allow my students to use hands-on activities during their Daily 5 and Math Rotations while still being able to move. Osmo Genius kits have a huge variety of fun letter and sound recognition activities, sight words and using sounds to make words games, number recognition activities and addition/subtraction skills practice. All these activities are hands-on and require problem-solving that aligns perfectly with our kindergarten standards. Adding some flexible seating cushions and headphones gives my students the opportunity to still move while learning and not disrupt their peers that are engaged in other activities.
