In my 4th grade class, reading and language arts instruction are all a part of the Daily 5. The Daily 5 is a program that gives kids choice and control over their learning while ensuring that all learning objectives are met. The problem is, we don't have many choices with the few resources we have.
I teach in a very small rural school in Illinois.
Most of the items in my classroom have been around for several decades and no longer meet the needs of my students. My bright and eager students deserve the very best educational items to make their 4th grade year meaningful and successful.
My Project
To provide my students with quality activity choices for the Daily 5, I am requesting several terrific reading comprehension and language arts activities from Lakeshore Learning. These kits are the best on the market and will ensure that my students learn and have fun at the same time. These kits will provide my students with an array of vocabulary building games, reading comprehension strategy practice, fluency building activities, readers theater scripts, main idea and sequencing practice, figurative language activities, and much much more!
These take to your seat kits provide very important practice of critical reading skills that young elementary students need on a daily basis. Having a multitude of kits will ensure that my students have choice over their learning and at the same time terrific activities that meet their needs.
Your generous donation will help to provide my 4th grade students with the highest quality reading and language arts activity kits, making the Daily 5 a huge success in our classroom!
