This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are innovators! My students are challenged daily to become critical thinkers and problem solvers for our evolving world. I always push my students to tap into their gifts and talents so they may add value to our world!

My students love being presented with tasks that allow them to think outside of the box.

Additionally, they are eager to have input on their learning as I strive to create a safe-space for them to openly discuss their interests. I love my students' eagerness to try new things, which in turn inspires me to grow more as an educator.

My Project

My students voiced their desire to obtain a Cricut for our classroom this year. Through donations, we were able to be given one. We are now in need of vinyl and cardstock to create projects.

Vinyl and cardstock will be used to create bulletin board letters, labels, and personalized items created by students.

My students are very design driven. Affording them an opportunity such as this will only further support the equity I strive to have in my classroom. My students will benefit greatly from this project as they are able to see their work created and displayed all throughout campus. I believe a great way to stay motivated with work, is for students to see their work displayed. Having these supplies will help students obtain this goal.
