Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our wonderful school is a charming, tight-knit, neighborhood school that has educated generations of children and their families.

The population of our school is rich in diversity and we are a 100% free and reduced lunch site.

We do our very best to provide a warm and inviting environment for our students. We also have a number of special needs students in our classroom.

In my 6th grade classroom, I hope to nourish and create life-long learners and leaders. Through our Leadership Club, we involve our school community in multiple community service projects like "Valentines for Shriners" (which benefits Shriners Children's Hospital, "Pennies for Pets" (which benefits the Sacramento Society for the Protection of Animals), and "Kids Can" (which benefits KCRA's canned food drive for our local food banks).

My Project

Our Leadership Club supports school spirit and coordinates community service projects. The Cricut and Cricut accessories will allow us to create t-shirts, flyers, and posters to engage our school community to champion our goal of giving back to those in need.

Our Leadership Club includes our general education population as well as our special needs students.

We strive to teach our students to act locally and think globally. "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."-Batman. At our school ... we are ALL Super Stars and anyone can be a hero!!
