Our school is made up of students who are excited to learn inside and outside the classroom. They come from a rural community that supports our school any way they can, even though resources are sometimes limited.
My students love to learn through active engagement with partner activities.
They are learning to work together to increase their knowledge and cooperation skills during cooperative groups. They would love to use technology more in the classroom to increase their knowledge and 21st-Century skills.
My Project
The Cricut Maker is the cutting machine that will give my students the cutting edge in learning. I like to give student pre-cut shapes that they can use to create and build pictures. However, having to hand-cut so many objects can be overwhelming. On the other hand, giving students a worksheet so that they will cut the shapes can leave some of my students frustrated. The Cricut Maker will give us perfect shapes that students can manipulate and decorate.
A Cricut Maker will be a change maker in the way I approach teaching Math and Literacy.
It is an extremely versatile machine and can be used to create interesting bulletin boards, anchor charts and personalized labels. This awesome machine can even be used to create gifts and keepsakes for our students.
With the addition of the Cricut EasyPress, we will be able to create class shirts for fieldtrips and various spirit building projects as well.
