My Students

Our school is nestled in the mountains of East Tennessee. The majority of my students come from families that have a low socioeconomic status. Many are considered homeless because their primary residence is with someone other than their parents. However, we have some very bright students who are eager to learn new things. They are always respectful and use manners. Given the opportunity, they thrive!

We have had many successful students in the past. Some have gone on to be rocket scientists, principals, teachers, and nurses. Many students have limitations because they live in a small, rural community. We need to incorporate more opportunities to help them be successful.

My Project

Students will use precut materials to make interactive notebooks. Our school die cut machine is over 20 years old. It has very limited use. With this machine we can create interactive bulletin boards as well as interactive notebooks.

Seeking a cut above!

We are looking to make more interactive opportunities for our school. This project will help our entire school. The machine will be placed in workroom for staff and assistants to use for creative more interactive opportunities for our students. Additionally, it will be used to make more creative and attractive bulletin boards, sign, and decor for events.
