My classroom is made up of 25 eager, energetic, hard-working, and awesome first graders.
I have an inclusion class where there are a variety of needs, learning styles, and developmental levels of the students.
They come from many different backgrounds, where many of them have had difficult obstacles to overcome already at an early age in their life. Several of them really lack the confidence needed to work toward their full potential. Many of them find it incredibly challenging to focus and pay attention throughout the entire school day. Our school is a Title I school and has a large low-socioeconomic population, which means there is a large percentage of students receiving free and reduced lunch. Some of them do not always come to school with the things they need to help them be successful.
My Project
I am requesting a Brother Scan and Cut 2 for my classroom.
I have worked very hard this school year making my daily learning centers differentiated and engaging for my students.
It takes an enormous amount of time to create and make all the weekly centers for each of my learning groups.
A Brother Scan and Cut would eliminate a lot of wasted time that occurs when I have to cut each center out by hand. I would be able to spend that time creating additional centers to meet my students needs and have materials more readily available for different skill sets.
