Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! They try hard and always want to reach their full potential. However, the resources in our school can be scarce. Many of my students are far below grade level and need added support and resources in order to reach grade level standards.
My classroom is diverse.
As an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) class, we have students of varying ability levels who require diverse instruction and varied materials to meet their individual needs. Teachers are given a very limited amount of money to purchase materials for the classroom. Unfortunately, this doesn't come close to covering what our classroom really needs.
My Project
Learning should be fun! I want to motivate my students by providing them with the materials and tools that they need to create their very own designs and templates that they can use across all subjects. The Cricut machine with vinyl and accessories comes with a downloadable software program that will allow myself and my students to create projects such as our names, logos, pictures for labeling, and even more! My students will also have the opportunity to create cards, labels, and personalized vinyl and even letters to make iron on class t-shirts. Having these materials at our disposal will allow my students to bring their work to life, no matter the subject!
