Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a teacher of 3O, ELL, wonderful learners. All of my students come from a low-income house hold and English is their second language. They are receive free meals daily. Unfortunately, most of them are faced many challenges in the classroom and at home. They, however, are so eager to learn every day and their positive charisma and willingness to learn is what inspires me everyday to be the best teacher I can be to them.
My students are fabulous, creative thinkers who love to learn and through positive learning experiences, it is my goal to provide them with a solid education.
They are full of energy and are like little sponges, ready to absorb new learning.
My Project
Creating a print-rich environment in my class is something I have always strived for. As a primary teacher, it is my goal to provide the necessary tools and literacy instruction to my students in order for them to become successful readers. For this reason, I am asking for a die cut machine with a variety of dies. A die cut machine will have a positive impact on my students learning. To begin with, having a die cut machine will allow me to cut alphabet letters that students could use as they learn their letters and sounds. They will also use them to make letter-sound correspondence with picture support.
My students are noticeably more engaged when they are given visual and tactile support as well as opportunities to use their five senses.
With the die cut machine, students will be able to be given pictures of animals, places, things, and have students see, touch, and sort them to learn initial sounds without having to struggle. Finally, having the dye cut machine will make our classroom bulletin and projects for class more picture perfect!
