My students are talented, creative, and full of questions. They love exploring new mediums, making art, problem solving, and being innovative. They come from diverse backgrounds and attend a Title I school.
All my students are aspiring young artists, who are starting to explore the artworld and creative freedom.
They come to school each day ready to grow both personally and artistically. They are committed to building a culture at our school that loves and appreciates the arts. Truly, they are my inspiration to create artwork everyday!
My Project
I saw a teacher who allowed students to reproduce their best of show artwork on buttons, and I thought what a fabulous idea. This button machine will allow my students to wear their artwork on hats, backpacks, etc. With this button machine, they can learn new processes to creating and making art.
My students will be able to create multiple reproductions of their artwork as custom buttons.
These buttons will be a great way to promote the art community on our campus, which is something my students strive to do. They will be nice mementos of artwork on a miniature scale and I just know my students will make buttons cool again.
