My students need word work activity, contraction game, and roll & write game for centers to improve vocabulary, language arts, and word skills. They will use the magnetic board to in the work on writing center.
In teaching at the same school for the past 19 years, my how I've witness the economic background of the students changed drastically.
Although economically challenged (low income/poverty), my students are equally bright, inquisitive, and hardworking little begins that show up to learn no matter what; which brighten my day EVERY DAY!
Each day I greet them at the door with a hug only to recognize some of them with tattered, dirty, and too little clothing. However, as soon as our day begins, their eyes light up, hands go up, and ears perk up to learn all they can...such little sponges! They could read a book all day, if allowed to do so. They enjoy writing and delving into Language Arts like never before. Anyone who enters my room will be so amazed at the resilience and tenacity of the amazing students in my 3rd-grade class!
My Project
My students need activities, games, and puzzles for the centers to improve their vocabulary skills, increase their language arts, and advance their word knowledge base. The students will use the games daily in word work centers, reading centers, writing centers, and the language arts centers...excited to receive these MUCH needed supplies.
With these curriculum based supplies, I look forward to seeing how the students will increase in the areas of reading and writing as the year progresses!
These hands on activities, and flexible whiteboard will offer the students different activities, multiple skills, and different ways to have meaning for learning experiences. YES!
