I have a wonderful group of curious and energetic 5th grade students who are eager to learn. My students come from a wide range of cultures, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds, 1/3 being from a low-income household. They all love school and have a passion for learning.
I hope to create a classroom that encourages creativity and allows my students ample opportunities for exploration and meaningful learning.
Each child brings something special to the classroom through their experiences and areas of expertise. I love their energy and curiosity. They motivate me to be the best teacher I can be.
My Project
TIME For Kids Edition is a weekly classroom news magazine that motivates kids to read. Issues cover a wide range of real-world topics using nonfiction text and themes kids love to learn about, while building nonfiction literacy skills and helping students become informed and active citizens.
This subscription allows students to learn how to read informational text while encouraging them to develop an interest for what’s occurring in our world.
My students deserve every learning resource that will help them be successful; however, we are lacking when it comes to social studies content and supplies. Students are much more excited about reading a text that is colorful and engaging, than a black and white resource that has been printed from online.
