From learning our numbers and letters to experiencing the joy in simple things like recognizing their name for the first time or having lunch in the cafeteria, my students show progress every single day. Each moment is a new learning adventure. Each day brings new growth and challenges that they willingly tackle with zest and enthusiasm.
Together we are striving to create a safe community of learners filled with compassion, kindness, and concern for others.
We are practicing important life skills such as following directions, cleaning up our own messes, sharing and taking turns, being honest and truthful in all our interactions, and being safe, respectful, and responsible.
Kindergarten should be an environment filled with hands-on learning experiences. When my students are able to engage in these activities first hand, they better understand the world around them and their place in it.
My Project
My students love learning about the world around them. They are eager and curious to share that information with their friends and family. I would love for each of them to receive their own copies of current events magazines that they could proudly read and share with others.
There are so many benefits to be gained from these Let's Find Out, Science Spin, and TIME for Kids magazines.
Students are introduced to financial literacy, environmental science, art, math, authors, and just general knowledge about the world we live in. These magazines will also help to improve reading skills and allow students to be engaged in the world at their own level. In the past, we have had to share magazines, but my students will be so excited to learn that the magazines they are reading actually belong to them!
