Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 5th grade Spanish Immersion. As we all know, to be able to fully speak a language my students will also need to be exposed to the culture of different countries that Speak Spanish around the World to achieve a level of language proficiency.

My Project

Even though my students may not be able to physically travel to all of these countries, due to economic and COVID-related issues, thankfully today's technology makes it possible to provide students with the experience of virtual field trips that they benefit greatly from hands-on student-centered learning experiences.

The Oculus Virtual Reality headsets will explore immersive, educational, and fun learning experiences.

in addition, Oculus to my students will help them to interact with their fellow students in a fun and educational way. Students will be thrilled to explore virtually in realistic and imaginative worlds and games that will help them to practice their newly acquired language. In addition, the 3D printer will allow the students to bring to life models learned in STEM.
