This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our classroom community is rich with diversity. I want to honor their diversity with representation in books. This is one way my students can feel seen and a way for them to learn about stories from around the world.

Students should have the opportunity to see themselves reflected in a variety of ways, including books.

For this project, I am requesting various children's books based on celebrating the many differences we have in our society. I am hoping to provide stories that represent a variety of cultures, customs, and people for students to connect, learn, and enjoy.
