Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My sixth-grade superstars are always eager to learn. They love projects and activities that are fun and educational at the same time. They love to have fun as they learn. I want to make sure that in my classroom, students always have all the necessary materials to apply to their learning. Every child deserves a quality education without limitations.
Most of my students come from a low socio-economic background.
Students have limited access to resources such as technology or other materials to create or complete projects. I would love for all of my sixth-grade students to create wonderful projects without the worry of not having the necessary materials to complete their work. They can create beautiful pieces of art. Thanks in advance for investing in public education and essentially, the future of our nation.
My Project
Thanks to our donors, last semester my students were able to read a full novel. We real Front Desk in which we were able to read a novel about the many facets of living in America and the excitements and obstacles that present themselves. This new semester we would love to get our students another book. Amari and the Night Brothers is a step into the magic world. Students will get a chance to dive into a fictional novel and at the same time discuss real life issues with their classmates.
This book represents our students cultures and supports them being seen in a novel.
We are so eager to read this book and thank you in advance for your help in making this project a reality.
