Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are super-curious and really love to learn! Many are current or former English Language Learners who are anxious to excel and prove it daily. They live in an awesome neighborhood in a borough of New York City and most struggle financially. Our school is unparalleled when it comes to fostering strong connections with our students and their families. It continually seeks to support their journey in becoming both academically and socially successful.
My students are eager, motivated and wholeheartedly seek victory in all they do!
It really does take a village to adequately inspire children to become the best they can be. With the right resources and community support, my students can absolutely soar!
My Project
Our first grade class is in desperate need of art and presentation supplies. We are working hard on our Project Based Learning and we are almost ready to share all that we have learned with our classmates and school community.
The items we asked for will help us design and construct fantastic creations that will be displayed at our first grade cultural fair.
We are working on sharing all that we have learned about China and Chinese culture and traditions with our classmates. Unfortunately, we have no ink for our classroom printer, and are running low on art materials to construct our projects. Our class will appreciate your donations more than these simply words can convey.
