Help me give my students tools to increase their reading fluency and comprehension.

My third graders are awesome! Ask them if they want to share a solution, and their hands stretch high for an opportunity to add their answers. Best of all, they're not afraid to make mistakes, because they know every mistake is a learning opportunity.
My students are on an incredible journey, and I am so excited for them.
This year they transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." They go from writing a few related sentences in second grade to writing multi-paragraph opinion pieces, narratives, and short essays in third. This year in science, my kids are investigating motion in matter. They're mastering multiplications, division, fractions, creating a foundation in geometry, and so much more.
In truth, third grade is just the beginning. I have a room full of imaginative kids. They are writers, artists, scientists, inventors, mathematicians. And they are our future. Let's give them all they need to flourish.
I have many students in my class who struggle with reading. Some are still building the basic foundations of learning how to decode words.
These resources will give my students the needed materials to fill in reading gaps they have developed through the years.
For example, the reading centers will provide activities that'll help my kids improve their comprehension, vocabulary, and so much more. Our project also includes a book that comes with a CD full of printable activities use during small group reading interventions.
By supporting our project, you'll be helping 3rd grade students develop critical skills that will help them succeed not only throughout their academic years, but also life.
We thank you for considering our project and helping us along our 3rd grade journey.
