My students come from all different cultures and walks of life that give them a unique perspective to share through their art.
They are creative and intelligent. They have their own voice to share through art.
Each student I have wants to express and share their view of the world around them with others. My job is to allow my students the opportunities to do this through art.
My Project
On average, I teach over 500 students a week in my art classroom. Each child is unique and has their own perspective on the visual art projects we complete. Each and every student brings their own background knowledge, experiences, and emotions to create unique, personal art projects .
To help each child truly capture what makes him or her special, I would like to offer my students a variety of different mediums to allow for self-expression.
Due to a lack of funding for art supplies and our community being heavily impacted by Hurricane Harvey, we have very limited supplies in the classroom which leads to repetition and a lack of creativity for the students. Please donate to allow my students the opportunity to express themselves using a new medium.
