My Students

My students are my inspiration. My class is composed of approximately 22 magnificent, brilliant, and active four and five year old Pre-kindergarten students who come into the classroom with energy ready to accept each day with positive anticipation.

Most students in my class qualify for our program based on income and may not have all the opportunities as other students.

This refrigerator will positively impact the students literacy skills that are required by the prekindergarten guideline set forth by the state of Texas.

My Project

The use of this item in my classroom supports collaboration, creativity, social skills, oral languages, problem solving, and critical thinking related to STEM TEKS.

This refrigerator will provide more of a variety in our kitchen area for the students to develop a wider vocabulary, interact with each other, develop expressive language, and life-skills that will help them communicate with others.

This pretend playing may just look like just "playing" however, it is an intricate part to a child's developmental learning process.

The Association for Child Development defines play in its position statement as a "dynamic, active, and constructive behavior" that is "essential for all children".
