Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love the diversity at my school because our students come from all around the world.
Our students enter the doors of our school with the biggest smiles because they love learning and growing.
For many of our students, school is the safest place they have. They are so happy to be at school because they know it is a place of learning and love. Our students are from Africa, Asia, Mexico and the United States. Our students speak 10 different languages. Ninety-seven percent of our students are receiving free or reduced-price lunches. They do not have many life experiences and technology is very limited at home.
My Project
With the requested Chromebook, my students will be able to post their learning on See Saw so their classmates and parents to see their learning from the classroom and from our STEM lab with these laptops.
We will be able to enhance our learning on websites like Quizziz, Discovery Education, Puzzledom, Ten Frame Mania and Guess the Picture, Book Flix, IStation, Set Game, etc.
Our math skills will improve with exciting and fun practice on Prodigy and Xtra Math.
We can collaborate with our classmates on Google Drive and share our research using Google Slides. We will be able to search the Internet and learn about animals, science and the world around us.
