Help me give my students a place to store all the manipulatives (counters, beads, shapes, blocks) that they will need to explore and make learning a hands-on experience.
This project expired on August 31, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are enthusiastic young learners. Many of these kiddos are entering school for the first time. They are in a full day kindergarten program in a suburban school district outside of Philadelphia.
My students come from a variety of experiences prior to kindergarten.
Some may have had some preschool, pre-k, and some may not have had any formal schooling yet. Regardless of background and school experience, these young learners are full of energy and ready to be engaged in their classroom.
Imagine walking into a busy classroom. It is just that- busy. But by adding organization to the space children are able to feel calmer in their environment and take on learning with better focus. This project will allow my students to feel safe and at home in their learning space.
They will be able to gain independence and a sense of classroom ownership by knowing where their materials are located and where they belong.
The cubbies will be use to store our manipulatives. We will use these manipulatives daily to help explore math concepts and explore the world around us through interactive play.
