My Students

My students are in a unique online learning experience. Many flourish in the full-time online setting, while others are part-time online learners in conjunction with their boundary school. This means that I service many types of students with many types of backgrounds.

Many of my students need impactful visuals and graphics, interactive activities, and aesthetically pleasing curriculum to help keep their attention as they work on my exclusively online curriculum.

My Project

I work exclusively in an online setting. Because of COVID-19, our school has seen huge growth as more students need to utilize online school. I am constantly trying to better reach my students and provide engaging material. It's hard when all my courses are fully online.

One of my passions is for design.

I teach Interior Design and Fashion Design. I have a passion for creating curriculum that is beautiful and interesting to look at. I want my students to feel like they know me as they work through their courses. My courses also require students to do some sketching--whether it be fashion croquis or creating a floor plan. When I provide examples to my students, I want them to see what is possible in their projects and inspire them in my field. I would love to be able to digitally create more examples to go into my curriculum. I have currently been sketching with my finger on an old iPad that is no longer supported and has some major bugs. I can only imagine the content I could create with a new iPad and Apple pencil to up my design game for my students! I have big plans for my courses, and these tools would help immensely in my goals!
