Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn, fueled by challenges, and interested in technology. Hands-on learning is the style in my classroom. My students take simple projects and make them great! Each students adds their own style and creativity to our daily assignments.
My students are focused on using technology to enhance their learning and classroom experience.
My classroom is a computer lab which means we are ALL about the technology! In fact, that is the main reason many students sign up to take my class. They are so innovative and incredible, I love getting to watch them learn and grow every year!
My Project
An iPad will allow my students to learn various academic skills without having to use a pen and paper. It will allow hands-on learning too. My classroom would benefit greatly from this because the students would be actively participating in their education. This iPad would make a HUGE difference in my classroom for so many reasons.
The ability to engage my students in various ways will reduce behavior problems, increase engagement, and increase learning.
In my computer lab, we like to learn by doing. I teach three different classes all having to do with technology so the use of different types of technology in my classroom is important. In my College and Career readiness class, the students would be able to take virtual tours of college campuses. This iPad would be incredibly helpful in my yearbook class too as we are designing the pages and editing photos. My classroom would benefit greatly from this because the students would be actively participating in their education.
