My classroom is full of vibrant, energetic students from a variety of backgrounds. These students, many of them, have very little at home, but at school, they get interaction with peers, a good education, and loving teachers.
While my students are racially and ethnically diverse and many come from homes with low socioeconomic status, they have a lot of heart.
Math is not a favorite subject for many students, but these students work hard to grow and become better mathematicians. I could not ask for a better group of students.
My Project
My students need games and activities that focus on the Common Core Math Curriculum, as well as math manipulatives to explore with during math centers. Our students will use these materials to explore their ability through hands-on, real world, practical application! These activities will be used to help students tackle the Common Core Curriculum strategically. They will be able to use these materials during our whole group and small group time, learning about ratios, proportions, equations, inequalities, geometry, integers, and fractions.
