Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my physical education class are passionate competitors with a desire to showcase their abilities and continue to grow. My students use physical education/ sports/ and other physical exercise to express themselves as well as an outlet to cope with outside circumstances that they are facing that are out of their control. My students look forward to their time in physical education because it is a safe space for them to be themselves and escape the distractions and obstacles of their everyday life. My students teach me everyday about how to stay positive, passionate, and dedicated to myself, family and friends.

My Project

The materials requested are going to greatly improve the students ability to expand their fitness knowledge and participation. The mats will allow the students to participate in floor exercises more comfortably. The whiteboard will allow us to increase communication throughout the lessons and increase mobility, allowing us to use the whiteboard in the field. The pull-up assistance bans will give every student, regardless of athletic ability, the opportunity to confidently participate and become stronger, boosting the confidence and self-image. All of the items requested will assist the lessons being taught in my physical education class and will benefit every student in the school.
