Mrs. Moseley from N Charleston SC is requesting Lab Equipment through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Critical Thinking With Hands-On Activities

My students need blood spatter materials for forensics and dissection specimens for advanced biology.

  • $599 goal

This project expired on July 27, 2018.

Hooray! This project is fully funded

My Students

I teach a wonderful group of gifted students at a public charter school. They are from a diverse background and have different learning styles. They also benefit and learn the most from hands on activities. As their science teacher, I try to bring out their best by finding engaging labs that are interdisciplinary and practical.

They are all very eager to learn and enjoy lessons they can manipulate.

I am fortunate to be able to offer them advanced classes to build critical thinking skills.

My Project

These materials will help my students understand the interdisciplinary nature of science. It is important for them to learn that forensics and biology involve more than just science. It is algebra, geometry and so much more. The blood spatter materials will introduce them to physics, keep them thinking about geometry, and use equations to solve problems in a practical way. The biology materials will be used in our advanced anatomy and physiology course as we cover the different body systems in various organisms.

Your very generous donation will help my students develop critical thinking skills that will last a lifetime.
