The small rural mid-Missouri classroom is looking to do something fun and educational for the first time. These kids are exciting and eager learners who are totally hands-on ready. Their abilities range greatly, and some are extremely shy. I think this is the quietest class I've ever seen. The sad part as I've rarely ever seen them smile. I aim to change that. I want their world to be opened up in ways that it's never been done before.
My Project
2018–2019 will be a big year for my little class! Currently, I have five Chromebooks for seven children. This year, my plans include a new computerized programs of coding to improve problem solving, digital student-created portfolios, and Google Classroom where they will create presentations of their research and make ebooks. Students will be taking all digital assessments and learning our school's newly purchased reading program, Exact Path, which is all online. My kiddos will work on their math facts in my absolute favorite program ReflexMath. Even better, our science is a program is entirely online then followed by STEM activities. Having these two Chromebooks will allow for my children to work at their own pace. Differentiated learning on these computers and through my programs will allow success for everyone!
