My students are creative, energetic, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think critically. Each student in my classroom is smart in their own way. I would love to encourage them with the materials that I am asking for.
My class is looking for ways to apply their critical thinking in innovative ways.
The materials will give my students opportunities to learn without worksheets in a fun, hands-on way! It will also help integrate 21st Century Skills including collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity.
My Project
These STEM materials will be used daily in my classroom to develop critical thinking skills. My students will use all of the logic puzzles such as Rush Hour, Penguins on Ice, Color Code, and the other games to solve a variety of puzzles. They will collaborate with one another and draw upon each others' strengths to solve the challenges. The challenges are leveled, to allow for success for all and extended thinking.
My third graders are truly an amazing group of learners.
They thrive on any challenge that they are given. The purpose of the logic puzzles is to begin creating motivating students who enjoy learning the depths of understanding of concepts. Research has proven that "The seeds of STEM must be planted early".
