My students need STEM activities like the Toy Maker STEM Challenge Kits - Complete Set, Bridge Building Engineering Center, and Building Brick STEM Challenge Kits to enhance their critical thinking skills!
My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They are energetic too! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box. They love finding solutions to their problems. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take many strides in order to grow both personally and academically.
I teach a diverse group of learners who love to come to school everyday to learn new things by being engaged in hands-on activities.
The children in my classroom absolutely love to learn. We use a variety of methods to meet the needs of all students. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
We are located in foothills northwestern North Carolina. In our county many struggle to find employment. Many of my students are living at or below poverty level. My students overcome many obstacles but they love to learn!
My Project
Using STEM activities like the Bridge Building Engineering Center, Building Brick STEM Challenge Kits, and the Toy Maker STEM Challenge Kits - Complete Set in my classroom will help students to become critical thinkers. Students need hands on activities such as creating with LEGOs or STEM building kits in order to enhance these skills. Learning should be fun for students. STEM activities are a great way to get students to think outside of the box! I plan to use STEM activities as a part of their daily morning routine. Instead of coming to class each morning with a dreaded worksheet waiting on their desk, students will be able to choose a STEM activity!
All students should be prepared to think critically in order to become strong leaders, researchers, and innovators!
Students should have access to quality materials in order to help them become the best learner they can be! All students deserve the chance to develop skills that will make them productive citizens!
