Critical Thinking and Teamwork Through Puzzles

Help me give my students a way to express their critical thinking, learn animal biomes, geography, team work, and much more with these different puzzles.

My Students

I teach 4th grade at a Title 1 elementary school. My students are so bright, charismatic, caring, and so eager to learn. They are so hardworking and get so excited to learn something new in every subject.

My students are incredible, and I am looking for more ways to excite and promote their learning each and every day.

They will get so sucked into a book that we are reading for comprehension that they beg to read just one more chapter. They get so intrigued by science that they will tell me how they tried out their own similar experiments at home. They grow more fond of math as we explore new topics and they get excited when they finally grasp it and can see math in their daily lives.

My Project

I intend to use these puzzle during free time, indoor recess, and during science time. Puzzles are a fantastic way to help aide in students critical thinking skills, teamwork with other students in the class, and can also aide in creative thinking.

The puzzles I have chosen will not only be fun for my students, but they also teach about different animal biomes and geography.

My students will be able to further their understanding of these concepts through a fun outlet.

After my students have done some puzzles in class, I am hoping it will spark an interest and they will want to do some at home as well in their free time. This is a more educational outlet than something they may do at home like video games. I am hoping through doing puzzles in my class, they will find that they enjoy the way it can challenge them mentally while having fun with others or individually.
